Created in honor of the late Ambassador Ramon V. del Rosario, The RVR Awards is an initiative launched by JCI Manila in cooperation with the Asian Institute of Management's Center for Corporate Social Responsibility, with the purpose of recognizing individuals who best exemplify corporate social responsibility and have an underlying passion for nation building.

The Ramon V. del Rosario Award for nation building is a prestigious event held annually aiming to recognize men and men who have proven themselves worthy of honor and emulation, and have exhibited outstanding traits such as Entrepreneurial Spirit, National or Global Impact, Corporate Citizenship and Social Responsibility.

In his lifetime, Ambassador Ramon "Monching" V. del Rosario was such a cheerful and invigorating presence that it was easy to forget what daunting historic tasks he set himself. He sought to reinvigorate the young Filipino's sense of purpose, to restore the strength of our nation's fledgling enterprises during a period of uncertainty and to redirect the deteriorating moral compass our of society.

Tony kicked off his business career through a small ice cream parlor. This small enterprise, however, would grow to be one of the biggest fast food chains not only in the Philippines, but also in the world.
It was 1978 when Tony’s family inaugurated Jollibee in the Philippines. With a genuine commitment to serving Filipino comfort food to the public, it was able to rise to the top of the fast food industry, toppling over even foreign brands that started to put up branches in the Philippines.

Initially launched in 2010, the Ramon V. del Rosario Award for Nation Building has consistently provided well-deserved recognition to various individuals who have contributed to nation building through their businesses and social enterprises.
